petMAP™ is a new class
of electronic blood pressure measurement device. It is
pocketsize small, and specifically designed for cats and
dogs.
New proprietary
optimization features enhance blood pressure accuracy, and
are available only in petMAP™...species
specific (cat or dog) and cuff site optimizations. You
simply select.
petMAP™ provides systolic,
diastolic, MAP, and heart rate utilizing proprietary new
oscillometric technology for enhanced sensitivity, accuracy,
and performance. petMAP™
is based on intra-arterial measurements.
|
| The best way to
learn to use the petMAP is to practice taking readings on
you finger. This will allow you to get comfortable with the
device prior to using it on patients. Even after practice,
it may take 10 - 25 minutes to get the 4-8 good readings
(minimal animal motion during the reading and the
determination completed in under 45-60 seconds) needed to
accurately assess the animal's blood pressure. The use of
petMAP's unique "Nominal Session BP Value" (NSBP) is
recommended as the charted BP for the session since it
eliminates "outliers" which can distort an ordinary average
of the blood pressure values and hence is a more robust
measure of the animal's true pressure during the session. |

The palm-sized petMAP™
provides systolic, diastolic, mean arterial
pressure, and heart rate using the oscillometric
method. The accurate, easy-to-use device takes
measurements without clipping, gel, a transducer, or
speaker box, so pets are less afraid. Seven cuff
sizes are included ranging in size from 2.0cm to
5.5cm. |

 |
CritterCuffs™ are designed to
be used with the petMAP™ to form a system
specifically designed for sensitive and accurate
blood pressure measurement in companion animals.
There are nine sizes available ranging from 2.0cm to
8.0cm. Cuffs are used without clipping, gel, a
transducer, or speaker box. |
